Andy spent several years working in the foothills of the Pyrenées in South-West France with Master Charcutier, Philippe Camdeborde.

During this time, he ran a tiny business cooking local market produce. Teaching enthusiastic locals how to cook (and shop) based on whatever caught his eye that day. Carrots, artichokes, tomatoes and olive oil from men and women with dirty hands and muddy boots.

The best bacon, paté, black pudding, ham, confit, sausage, viennoiserie and bread from the various craftsmen and women who’d made it.

Foie Gras came from the lady who hand-fed the ducks, wine from a man who had personally visited every vineyard represented in his collection.

Andy mastered the art of making black pudding from local pigs and turned the deeply unpromising into something genuinely delicious.

Andy returned to Liverpool from France in 2013, thoroughly sold on artisan produce made from high quality local ingredients.                                 He began working with Edge and Son’s Butchers in New Ferry, Wirral and now collaborates with them to produce the finest charcuterie.

Awards include:

Chris Mackett Supper Club

For our Spring Supper Club, we are thrilled to collaborate with Chris Mackett on Wednesday, May 21st, for another unforgettable four-hands dinner.
With over 25 years of experience working alongside some of the UK’s most renowned chefs, Chris spent 16 years working with Tom Kerridge, playing a key role in the successful launch of The Hand and Flowers pub in Marlow. In 2006, they made history as the first pub to be awarded a Michelin star, later achieving a second in 2012.
Beyond his extensive culinary expertise, Chris has worked across luxury events, private dining, recipe development, and masterclasses. His passion for top-quality seasonal ingredients and exceptional dining experiences is at the heart of his approach to food.
Born and raised on the Isle of Wight, Chris pursued catering as a scholarship student from the age of 17. After gaining experience in various local restaurants, he moved to London to work at Claridge’s under John Williams, followed by a role at the two-Michelin-starred restaurant The Vineyard at Stockcross with John Campbell.
In his mid-20s, Chris joined the esteemed Tom Kerridge, later helping to open The Hand and Flowers, which earned its first Michelin star within just 10 months of launching. During his 16 years with Tom, Chris served as a development chef, writing over 1,000 recipes for publications such as Good Food Magazine, The Daily Mail, The Sunday Times, Observer Food Monthly, and many of Tom Kerridge’s cookbooks.
Chris’s expertise has taken him across the globe, cooking in iconic locations such as Singapore, San Sebastián, New York, San Francisco, and the foothills of Mont Blanc—showcasing British cuisine and hospitality at its finest.
